Mission

Uranium Watch works to educate and advocate for protection of public health and the environment from past, current, and future impacts of uranium mining, uranium milling, nuclear waste disposal at uranium mill sites, and other impacts of the nuclear fuel cycle.

Uranium Watch encourages and facilitates public participation in state and federal regulatory decision-making processes related to the mining, uranium, and nuclear industries.

  • Shootaring Canyon Mill, Garfield County, Utah
  • Uranium Mines in Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico that have or may provide uranium ore to the White Mesa Mill or Shootaring Canyon Mill

  • Proposed in situ leach (ISL) copper recovery operation in the Lower Lisbon Valley, San Juan County
