Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Meetings with Licensees

The NRC will meet with uranium recovery licensees and prospective licensees in conjunction with the NMA Annual Uranium Recovery Workshop. Curtis Hotel, Denver, Colorado, USA. Members of the public may be able to attend the meetings or listen via conference call Watts line. The meeting schedule is also posted on the NRC Public Meeting Schedule.

The workshop is usually attended by the uranium milling industry representatives, state and federal regulatory agencies, and contractors. Members of the public may attend, and there is a registration fee. The agenda will be announced in April. There are educational presentations by both uranium recovery regulators and the industry. Presentations are usually posted on the NRC and NMA websites after the workshop. Contact Katie Sweeney at 202-463-2627 or ksweeney@nma.org.

Interested members of the public are urged to attend. The workshop provides opportunities to ask questions after presentations, talk with NRC and other agency staff, and learn of the plans of uranium industry and its regulators.
